Site plan

I finally recieved the site plan of what the proposal is for the landscaping and frankly I'm shocked. There is no sense of design for the scheme; everything seems to be picked and placed based on what a 'typical' run of the mill garden should contain, a water guzzling lawn, a few fruit trees dotted around, a gazebo or two 

and a corner fountain that seems so out of place.

My pet peeve is with the driveway. This is where all guests will go to park their car during visits and will be the first part of the house they see. To just smother the sides with green fluff does not equate to an effective design. The client herself doesn't understand where this star design in the pavement came from and has asked to have it removed- thank god.
