This 'Teach-in' that I attended in the Victoria and Albert museum was a lecture comprised of scientists, researchers and designers all with the main aim of bringing the audience's attention towards critical issues such as resource depletion, loss of biodiversity and the big momma of all problems: climate change. Although they were stating their views for everybody to listen, their main targets were academics, designers and students that could become the future catalysts for pushing the ideas presented forward and provide innovative solutions. I must say that even though the lecture went through a series of malfunctions with equipment and was punctuated with awkward moments, the issues stated have opened my eyes to how things REALLY are and will do my best to always design in as sustainable a manner as possible.
